About the company
Elmer’s Products is an American based company that has a line of adhesive, craft, home repair, and office supply products. It is best known as the manufacturer of Elmer’s Glue-All, a popular PVA-based synthetic glue, in addition to other brands including Krazy Glue, ProBond adhesives and X-Acto cutting tools.
Introduced by Borden, it was spun off independently in 1999. The company was acquired in 2003 by Berwind Corporation, a privately held investment firm. On October 5, 2015, Newell Rubbermaid announced a $600 million deal to acquire Elmer’s Products.
Elmer’s initiated an Information Management/Business Intelligence program to address poor visibility into vendor spending, unreliable and inconsistent, outdated information that resulted in conflicting data and poor decision making.
While Elmer’s worked with another partner on the original deployment of SAP®, ERP Logic was selected to implement the BI solution (SAP® Business Warehouse) because of its depth of experience and approach to deployment.
ERP Logic adapted traditional SAP® deployment methodologies to Elmer’s culture and organizational capabilities. With ERP Logic, business teams owned process and implementation from each functional area. These teams worked in an incremental approach that eliminated the need for a formal blueprint. This approach relied on knowledge transfer to power users.
Elmer’s is a long-term customer of ERP Logic working to extract more value from its SAP® investment.
